NGREDIENTS:
- 1 egg
- 140g (0.7 cup) sugar
- 70ml (0.3 cup) oil
- 10g vanilla sugar
- 450g (3.6 cups) all-purpose flour
- 170ml (0.7 cup) water
- 10g baking powder
- 15g cocoa
INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a bowl, beat the egg and mix it with sugar, oil, and vanilla sugar until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and cocoa.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with water. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
- Roll out the dough into a thin rectangle.
- Cut the rectangle into strips, about 2 inches wide.
- Heat oil in a pan for frying.
- Twist each strip into a swivel shape and fry in the hot oil until golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar or cocoa powder before serving.
