What do you need:
1 cup of water
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of thick cream
2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
Powdered sugar for sprinkles
How to do it:
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Prepare the dough:
- In a medium saucepan, bring water, butter and salt to a boil. Remove from heat and add flour, stirring until mixture forms a ball.
- Transfer batter to a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the dough is soft and shiny.
Bake the puffs:
- Place batter in baking tray prepared with spoon.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until puffs are golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool completely on a griddle.
Prepare the whipped cream:
- In a medium bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until firm peaks form.
How to Serve:
Cut the top off the cream puffs and fill them with whipped cream and chopped strawberries. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
