Sausage Muffins

Ingredients:
1 lb ground sausage
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix together the milk, egg, and vegetable oil.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold in the cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese.
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling them about 3/4 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
