Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:
4 slices of bread (Italian, sourdough, or your favorite)
4 slices of mozzarella cheese
12-16 slices of pepperoni
1/4 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread:

Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder (if using) for extra flavor.
On the non-buttered side of two slices of bread, spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly.
Assemble the Sandwich:

Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce.
Layer the pepperoni slices evenly over the mozzarella.
Add another slice of mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni.
Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter side facing out.
Cook the Grilled Cheese:

Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve:

Slice the sandwiches in half and serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Tips:
You can add other pizza toppings like sliced olives, bell peppers, or mushrooms for a more loaded pizza grilled cheese.
For a crispier texture, sprinkle some grated Parmesan on the buttered side before grilling.
This Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese combines the best of pizza and grilled cheese into one delicious, cheesy sandwich!
