Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel

Ingredients

• Chocolate Cake: 1 ¾ cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, ¾ cup of cocoa, 2 eggs, 1 cup of milk, ½ cup of oil, 1 cup of boiling water.
• Salted Caramel Sauce: 1 cup sugar, 6 tablespoons butter, ½ cup heavy cream, 1 teaspoon sea salt.
• Chocolate Ganache: 1 cup heavy cream, 8 oz chocolate.
• Salted Caramel Buttercream: 1 cup butter, 4 cups powdered sugar, ½ cup caramel sauce, 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Instructions

  1. Cake: Mix all the dry ingredients and then the wet ones. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  2. Caramel: Melt the sugar, add the butter and cream. Add salt.
  3. Ganache: Heat the cream and mix it with chocolate.
  4. Buttercream: Cream butter, sugar and caramel sauce.
  5. Assembly: Layer cake, buttercream, repeat and decorate with ganache.
