Bacon Cheeseburger Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

Directions:

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, ground beef, and crumbled bacon to the cheese sauce. Stir until everything is well combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. If desired, garnish with chopped pickles and green onions before serving.
