1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract, flour, and salt until just combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
Let the pie cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
