Ingredients:
1 pound spaghetti
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 pound cooked ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or springform pan.
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil to prevent sticking. Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, combine the beaten eggs and Parmesan cheese. Add the cooked spaghetti and toss to coat evenly.
Press the spaghetti mixture into the greased pie dish to form a crust.
Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the spaghetti crust. If using, layer the cooked ground beef or Italian sausage over the ricotta.
Pour the marinara sauce over the meat layer, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the pie is heated through.
Remove from the oven and let the pie cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.
Garnish with fresh basil, if desired, and serve.
