Banana Pecan Caramel Layer Cake

The things you will need:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar together, then mix in mashed bananas.
  4. Add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until combined.
  5. Divide the batter between the pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Once cooled, layer the cakes with caramel sauce, chopped pecans, and whipped cream between them.
