Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Sausage


  • 1 pound (450g) smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into rounds
  • 4-5 medium-sized potatoes, washed and diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish


  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a large baking dish or sheet pan with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes, sliced sausage rounds, dry ranch seasoning mix, olive oil or melted butter, salt, and pepper. Toss until everything is well coated.
  3. Spread the potato and sausage mixture evenly onto the prepared baking dish or sheet pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown, and the sausage is cooked through.
  5. Remove the baking dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the potatoes and sausage.
  6. Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
