Honey Soy Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar (if using) to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Alternatively, you can use a skillet or bake the chicken in the oven.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  6. While grilling, you can brush the chicken with any remaining marinade for extra flavor and caramelization.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish the Honey Soy Chicken with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
  9. Serve the chicken hot with rice, quinoa, or your favorite side dishes.
  10. Enjoy your delicious and flavorful Honey Soy Chicken!
