Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and rice vinegar (if using) to make the marinade.
- Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Alternatively, you can use a skillet or bake the chicken in the oven.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- While grilling, you can brush the chicken with any remaining marinade for extra flavor and caramelization.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish the Honey Soy Chicken with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
- Serve the chicken hot with rice, quinoa, or your favorite side dishes.
- Enjoy your delicious and flavorful Honey Soy Chicken!
