Brazilian Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh limes
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash the limes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or residue.
  2. Cut the ends off each lime, then slice them into quarters.
  3. Place the sliced limes in a blender. If desired, you can remove the seeds to avoid bitterness in the lemonade.
  4. Add the cold water to the blender.
  5. Blend the limes and water together until the limes are finely chopped and the mixture is well combined.
  6. Strain the lime-water mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove any pulp or seeds. You can press the pulp with the back of a spoon to extract more juice.
  7. Stir in the granulated sugar until it is completely dissolved.
  8. Add the sweetened condensed milk to the pitcher and stir until it is well incorporated into the limeade.
  9. Taste the Brazilian lemonade and adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more sugar if needed.
  10. If desired, add ice cubes to the pitcher or individual glasses to chill the lemonade further.
  11. Stir the lemonade before serving to ensure the sweetened condensed milk is evenly distributed.
  12. Pour the Brazilian lemonade into glasses and garnish with lime slices if desired.
