Ingredients:
- 4 fresh limes
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash the limes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or residue.
- Cut the ends off each lime, then slice them into quarters.
- Place the sliced limes in a blender. If desired, you can remove the seeds to avoid bitterness in the lemonade.
- Add the cold water to the blender.
- Blend the limes and water together until the limes are finely chopped and the mixture is well combined.
- Strain the lime-water mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove any pulp or seeds. You can press the pulp with the back of a spoon to extract more juice.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until it is completely dissolved.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk to the pitcher and stir until it is well incorporated into the limeade.
- Taste the Brazilian lemonade and adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more sugar if needed.
- If desired, add ice cubes to the pitcher or individual glasses to chill the lemonade further.
- Stir the lemonade before serving to ensure the sweetened condensed milk is evenly distributed.
- Pour the Brazilian lemonade into glasses and garnish with lime slices if desired.
