Caramel Brownie Cheesecake



Ingredients:
Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Cheesecake Layer:

16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Caramel Topping:

1 cup caramel sauce
1/4 cup heavy cream
Chocolate shavings for garnish

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool while you prepare the cheesecake layer.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie layer. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the center is set. Allow to cool completely.
In a small saucepan, combine the caramel sauce and heavy cream over low heat. Stir until smooth and warmed through.
Pour the caramel sauce over the cooled cheesecake. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
