Ingredients:
•I box Pillsbury ready bake pie crust( comes with 2 rolled pie crust)
- For the Filling:
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage (optional)
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
3 tablespoons of melted butter ( to brush on top crust)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Filling:
- Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Assemble the Pizza Pie:
- Roll out the dough to fit a deep-dish pie pan or a deep skillet.
- Layer the bottom with half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Add a layer of cooked ground beef, Italian sausage, and pepperoni.
- Pour the pizza sauce evenly over the meat and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Top with the remaining cheese and another layer of pepperoni slices. Top with remaining crust brush with melted butter and garlic powder.
- Bake the Pizza Pie:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
